Soon to go....but won't be forgotten...newer one on the way

Well chaps after months of tyre kicking with the ipad, several moments of weakness to the dark side (Porsche dealers) I have decided Full Fat is still the way forward and i pick up a 2011 4.4TDV8 Autobiograhy in Stornaway with Black with I think / believe every single extra fitted inc 1,200w radio, rear dvd, elec rear seats (I wont use them!), 2 tone autob wheels which i think are pretty rare? and deployable steps.

Got a good deal from the main stealer and I asked them to send me the build sheet which confirmed the original registration as LR1 which i believe would have been a LR owned vehicle before being sold to the first owner who p-ex'd it last month with 15,000 miles. Could anyone clarify please?

to be honest i cant wait but the old girl TDV8 'bessie' has 112,000, still looks the business and I cant help think I will be sad to see her go - faultless 3.5 years service on and off road (winter field sports) with her only having to replace the alternator and a split intercooler hose.

very tempted with a re-map of the 4.4 TDV8 - has anyone done this with JE Engineering as I believe these boys are the business??

Will try and post some pics in the next day or 2 3.0 VSE - 2015MY
Corris with Black, RSE, 22 turbines, privacy, deployables

Sounds like the experience I've had with mine, exactly 3.5 years ownership and only an alternator and PAS pipe split. Has been and still is wonderful to own and drive and looks even better than ever right now due to my little cosmetic upgrades.

Sadly, I shall probably part with mine later this year, and I would want the same that you've gone for, am looking at the 4.4 TDV8 Autobiographies.

If the 3.6 JE Remap is anything to go by the 4.4 should be stonking, I fully intend to go there for mine when I get it.

Look forward to seeing pics of your new one. Discovery 4 HSE

Similar experience also. 3.6 TDV8 for 2 years, only problem being an alternator. I bought a MY11 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE at 10k miles last September when the price of the L405 were released Shocked Both have been in Stornaway (best colour obviously Wink)

Have had both remapped by JE which delivers a significant increase in torque and fuel economy. Now done 20k miles in the 4.4 and loving every drive. Only issue is the FBH works less well than in the 3.6 but at least it starts every time now Laughing MY23 D350 HSE
