Is it my imagination

Fitted a new LR battery yesterday, the original one was seven years old and although it still showed 12v when tested the green indicator only showed up when it was taken off charge and in a few days it had turned back to black. However, it never gave me cause for concern.
I didn't want to trust it though as we are going abroad at the beginning of August and although I have a LR warranty the last thing you want is a problem.
Anyway I took the RR out this morning and the first thing I noticed was the central locking was much faster and the starter motor was very brisk, which in some ways would be the case. However I felt that the vehicle performance had also improved, much smoother and responsive, has anybody else noticed an improvement after changing the battery or is it all in me head. '88 RR Classic, '90 Classic, '93 Classic, '02 Discovery TD5, '55 Discovery 3, '01 P38 4.6, '06 L322 Vogue TD6, 2012 L322 Vogue TDV8, 2017 L405 Autobiography

it seems like that doesnt it...i'm sure that with all the electronics getting the full whack of voltage this will help with the smoother running .. ... - .- -.

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Bonatti Grey

Yes, I experienced the same thoughts and feelings regarding the smooth running of my 2003 RR when I had a new Bosch battery replace the old tired battery.
Really starts with a roar now! Thumbs Up

Re: Is it my imagination

New LR battery fitted to ours a couple of weeks ago and it certainly appears to fire up much more quickly and crisply...
