I have fallen in Love

Hi there,

This is my first post but I have been a memeber of the Disco3 for a few years now.

I have been looking for a D3 for the last few months and then I find this.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p

This was my first test drive in a Range Rover and I loved it. What a amazing car Bow down I loved the engine and the power is there when you need it. I loved all the toys and the camera.

My only issue is the cost, I think its a lot of money for a 2007 with 116.000 miles on the clock but it does have all the stamps in the log and only two owners.

PLEASE!!! Someone point me in the right direction. The car has been up for sale for 5 weeks but the dealer isn't moving on price as there is a Land Rover dealer up at Saltash????

I was hoping that it would be around the 18k mark.

What does everyone thing????? Thumbs Up

Not an expert on TDV8's, as I only ever drive one at the Land Rover Experience a few years ago.

It does look tidy, but seems a little pricey to me. There are some about for as low as about £15k, so if I were you I'd drive a couple of cheaper ones and see if you can tell any difference.

Just to give you an idea of whats available for what, this one is available, with 79k miles on, where I bought mine from, and I'm sure you'd end up around the same price and get a 12 month warranty thrown in ;

As much as I'd like a TDV8, don't think I can justify the price to change from my Td6...........

Welcome to the forum by the way !

Re: I have fallen in Love

Just don't be seduced by the appearance and romance of the car/ type of car it is.

Do your homework on things to be alert for and also on the nationwide market and what is out there for comparible prices.

Unless you are very competent at repairs and maintenance, paricularly if you intend to spend that kind of money, give serious consideration to ensuring the car is supplied with or that you buy a robust warranty.

There are many nice cars that will be available so take your time. Thumbs Up

Thanks everyone for the quick replys.

It really does help that its only down the road from me but I think its a little over priced.

But is a really tidy car and its everything that i'm looking for.

Maybe I need to keep looking.

Try selling it on 2-3 years down the line when it's done 150k, then you'll wish you'd gone for the one with only 75k on the clock.

Lovely car though, that interior is my fave.

As above. Lovely colours inside and out and Vogue SE spec is very desirable. Thumbs Up

I think Kurt's mileage comment is valid, but if you're planning on keeping it for a while then maybe it won't be that much of a factor as long as it's maintained properly. Si. <This is my name.

Depends on how many miles you'll put on the car really. After sticking 22k on mine in just over a year it feels just as good now as it did when I bought it. I expect to keep it for quite a while!

If the car is clean, with no scratches and everything works I'd buy it at that price. Ask the dealer if you can have an extended test drive (a whole day or weekend). Try everything on the car that can be turned on. Even on a flat road try all the TR modes and the low range box and give the thing a workout on an A road. If it performs faultlessly then buy it, if anything goes wrong then haggle. Smile

Bit pricey i would say , looking at the prices of their other FF's i would say the same , and the 09 one they are selling you think they would take the Ferrari badge off that is above the side vents …. Question

Would make me worry that the older one is a tad dear. Graham
