I've had a reply from Bradcot. They reckon the holes are normal as part of the manufacturing process. I'm not accepting that. |

These are the holes. Bradcot say they are part of the manufacturing process and won't worsen. Apparently they use some kind of pin to hold the awning flat whilst they are cutting them, to prevent them moving around. It's worse on this awning as its a seasonal one and the fabric is more heavy duty. On a regular awning, the holes close up and are virtually invisible

As I've said, the replacement will be the same. The MD has personally assured me that they are all like that on this type of awning, due to the heavy duty fabric used. He says on the touring awnings, the same manufacturing process is used, but the holes close up. A bit like taking a security tag off clothing.

We have a bradcot concept awning in the largest size never noticed any small holes like this when I put it up, only used once.

I got £200 knocked off the price of the awning in the end. Better than nothing I suppose! |
