The only nav bits that have anything to do with GPS reception are the nav computer and the antenna. Which you've replaced. So the antenna cable will be bad. Both the core and the shield must go through. Check for continuity on both.

is the cable at the back of the navi drive the same cable that goes to the gps antenna? Is it direct? Then i could use a ohm meter to check the cable. |

MMmmmm - looks like you found the problem. If you have an OEM TV module you'll have 2 possible antenna connectors: one for the left and one for the right TV antennas. The GPS antenna goes directly to the nav unit. It is not involved with the TV in any way, shape or form. It does have the same type of FAKRA connector, though. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s (wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too) |

This sounds very much like the original Murphy's law: If a component can be installed in two ways, a correct way and an incorrect way, then there will always be someone installing it in the incorrect way. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!! Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !! |

Oh - I never realized that this was the original variant to the law...
