Last few days..........

Pic of my FF on probably its first ever off road experience. Last Thursday was up on estate in Sutherland doing some montane tree species planting with a group of local school kids. Absolutely stunning scenery........

Then over the weekend we had a plant identification course running on another estate in Inverness-shire. Our local LR dealer kindly lent me a Defender for getting folk to and from the sites - thanks Macrae and Dick. Another stunning day, although the Defender is hard work and not that comfortable. Stunning scenery again (excuse the power lines!) - still a wee bit snow on the higher tops to the west.

yep it is stunning in that part of Sutherland. West is best though - you cant beat Tiree - in good weather it is the best place on this planet. Three weeks today will be there and cant wait - FF will loaded with the tin tent, all the kites, bikes, surf boards etc will literally step out of the van onto the beach (see pic below)

This is Gott bay - almost 4 miles of beach - great for kite surfing, land yachting, kite buggying or just a walk.

Below is Gunna sound - separates Coll and Tiree - in summer you can see the basking sharks feeding here and you dont even need to get out of the car......
