I quite agree but would it make enough money to make it worthwhile?

You would be a better judge of that but with the right website and Google ranking I bet you/I could shift hundreds of US imported spanking black chrome wheels.....

Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes, Chrysler, etc Thumbs Up

Bet you want these babies everyone....

Stupidly, I did a quick photoshop of what mine would look like with the standard 19" wheels done black with the MTR's on, dayum, they look mean!

I was going to buy some spare 19" wheels to put my road tyres on too... 2006 Mercedes CLS

All done now!

Got the wheels back from City Powder Coaters in Birmingham today - £20 per wheel for strip and powder coat in gloss black. Not a perfect job but a good one, and I am very happy with them for the price.

Before:

After:

And fitted with new polished centre caps and MT/Rs (or should I say MR-T's Rolling with laughter ):

I'll post some better pictures when it stops raining! May not be to everyone's tastes but I quite like the look and am pleased I went for the black...

Once again superb look!!!

They look Black/Chrome rather than Black/Gloss which is great for £20 a wheel....

When I return to the Range Rover fold I will be doing exactly the same thing to whichever car I choose.

What's the everyday ride like on the MT-R's????

Yep, can't complain for £20 a wheel. Thumbs Up

MT-Rs seem ok on the road so far - definitely notice the tyre rumble like you get with any mud terrain pattern but in a strange way I quite like it! Steering feel is slightly different, feels a bit less connected on centre but nothing too bad. Ride quality is a tad better than with the 20's which came off.

I'm going to keep hold of the 20s for now so I can swap between if I need to. We are using the Rangey as our wedding car later this year and I've been told that I have to put the old wheels back on for the wedding because it now looks too 'evil' with the black ones!!
