Just listed.

No mention of service history at all, and those wheels look gash! Would get the double fives back on it ASAP. Pretty sure the money I'd get for the current alloys would cover a vinyl wrap in black too.... Whistle

I think I might just do that!

Just spoken to the seller. A very pleasant (if a little doddery) older chap.

He's only selling as he's just bought a DB9 Volante.

The car was Jag approved up to 91k (Grange Jag) - he bought it off the chap that bought it off of them and has done less than 4k in it since buying it - it's now just ticked over 101k.

Just had a fresh MOT and went through with no advisories.

He put the wheels on it (I don't like them on the car being the wrong period) but the original double fives are available. Needs a spot of paint on the rear bumper where he caught a car in a supermarket and has done a poor job of touching it in himself (and has had reversing sensors fitted since because of it, bless him!) but everything electrical and mechanical works perfectly on the car. He said it's genuinely faultless.

I REALLY don't like silver, but I might have to just suck it up, a set of clear reflectors and indicator lenses, the original wheels refurbed and back on and that'll be a stonking car I reckon! Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

well I think so, you'll get a pretty penny for the wheels you don't like, and spent that on a vinyl wrap maybe? Good luck Thumbs Up

I like those wheels. I like the stance they give it. And I don't generally like XKR's but, in silver, it looks good. Si. <This is my name.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Only last night I watched an old Wheeler Dealers , bought an old xk8 cab

Spent a bundle on uprated exhaust , discs , calipers. Few cosmetics...

Looked and went great. Huge amount of car for the £ Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Looks Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Personally I love the wheels but I take your point. Great value car. I've a friend who has one (convertible), in California. Even with US emissions spec and using the barely-flammable crap they call Petrol it's a real stonker. Love it. Graham

Oh Censored !

Talk about being like London buses....

So the XKR looks great (apart from being silver) and then THIS 944 Turbo is still available.

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C387055

Guy's had it for the past 5 years as a weekend toy - done naff all mileage in it. Bags of history etc - looks lovely. Only thing is that he did something to it that broke the odometer, so for the past 2 years it's not been recording any mileage. £20 part to fix, but a dash out job, so he never got around to doing it. Normally that'd make me suspect, but I got a pretty genuine feeling from the guy....why lie about a few miles on a car with 140k on the clock already?

Bit of a chalk and cheese comparison really. Totally different cars. See and drive both, then decide, I guess. That's the only answer... Confused Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Titanium grey = dark silver. Laughing

I'd buy the 944 and tell people I'd just bought a 2-door hatchback. Wink Si. <This is my name.

Moving right away from Jags and Porsches, how about a Corvette C4 with a 300bhp LT1 V8? Looks to have been properly kept and maintained.

Ebay item www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190855192154, if you're interested. Laughing Si. <This is my name.

I was waiting for the comment about the colour of the 944!

I love 'Vettes, but would never own one. Too much of a chicken to drive a left hooker mainly....plus doesn't fit the original British, German or Italian criteria!

(Although the Jag isn't the age I said I wanted either, but I'm allowed to bend the rules)! Whistle Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
