United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged Supercharged Java Black
Had a Eurocharged remap for the 4.2 SC

So when I had my exhaust done I got the car remapped to clear the check engine warnings, however I don't think they did a very good job of it. This had been bugging me for a while so I decided to look into companies that remap the 4.2 SC and found out about Eurocharged. They are an American company with two UK agents (London and Birmingham) and have rave reviews in the Mercedes-Benz tuning world. Often they have claimed more power via a remap than other companies, and when challenged have remapped peoples cars and got them dyno'ed to back up their claims.

With this in mind and the fact the guy who owns the company drives a 2007 FFRR 4.2 SC which he's done nearly the same mods on as I have to mine my mind was made up. After getting in touch with them they recommended their "Stage 1" tune and I got in touch with MSL Performance to get the map loaded on.

There was a bit of trouble with the loading of the map because their tools had some syncing problems with the Eurocharged ones. However once it was loaded a quick test drive showed that their claims were pretty accurate. The 2 hour drive home from Brum to Leeds proved to me that it was definitely worth it. There's loads more power and a massive lump of torque in the low end, so much that I reckon it'd surprise our TDV8 owners here. Tickle the throttle at 70mph in 6th and without changing down the car just gets faster and faster in a way it never did before. Slam your foot down and wait a second for the gearbox to wake up and you literally get hurled forwards.

I've had the map on for two days now and the car seems to be adapting to it and getting slightly more perky and definitely more powerful. It's basically like having the stock map back on, but with everything turned up to 11! Before the remap had shifted the powerband further up the revs, now it's got a huge low and mid-range pull and anything over 3k RPM is just plain mental for a car this heavy.

Prices are based on USD exchange rate, but for me it was £480. No dyno unfortunately, but a quick play with a friends Racelogic VBox yesterday put 0-60 in at 5.98 seconds although that was from a proper launch though and I'd not want to do that too many times over. Eurocharged claim +80bhp and +95ft/lbs torque with their stage 1 mods and map, since I've got a slightly different intake and had the spark plugs done compared to their package so I'm assuming I've made that power.

Presumably you've had a wideband on it though?

Current mods are:

Smaller supercharger pulley for +1.5lbs boost
2 Step colder spark plugs
Cold air intake with cone filter
Sports exhaust in a 2.5inch bore with no resonators and straight through backbox's
100 cell metallic sports cats
Intake resonator modifications (improved airflow)
Eurocharged remap

Trommel do you mean a wideband O2 sensor? If so, no I haven't, although I really should do before MOT time to ensure the cats haven't melted.

Yes, O2 - just to check A/F is still good, peace of mind if nothing else.

I have a Cold air intake with cone filter fitted with a 2012 conversion on a (BMW) V8 Vogue. The engine sounds great and it feels more powerful but that might just be my imagination.
