2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver
Specialist wheel courier

Do any of these ever provide packing/boxes to protect them in transit? Seller is nervous to courier as he has nothing to protect them.

Perhaps not the cheapest or easiest to manage but check eBay item http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170984250628 they offer a "blanket wrap" service providing the wheels are clean! Well worth paying extra for IMO.
