After Market L322 Door Handle Covers

Hi,

Just noticed some threads about after market door handle covers and have looked at Powerful UK products online such as:
http://www.powerfuluk.com/products/range-r...kit-).html

Our SC is silver with Brunel Grey handles. What's the form for these covers please:
Put Brunel covers on, silver ones or black as a striking contrast (obviously down to personal preference but has anyone got experience to advise that black against silver looks good, silver on silver looks too bland etc??

Thoughts would be appreciated/ thanks...

Craig,
how do the covers fit??

If they are only covers do they still feel right? Any sharp edges?

They stick over with 3m sticky foam tape, you do notice an edge when opening , but look miles better !

As Mr Tee said there is a noticable edge to feel but not see and are certainly not sharp (don't expect that on stainless ones though). They make the handles slighty bigger which is a good thing (as the later handles from an 11.5 are bigger)

Excuse my daughter in the foreground, but I did mine recently and am very pleased with them.

The covers are Zambezi. Your colour is Zermatt. The only difference is a very slight blue tinge with Zermatt in bright light.

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I recently removed my covers as they just didn't do it. They were the brushed stainless ones. I have bought new doorhandles (found a brand new set on Ebay) for 75 GBP or in that region. They will install them this week. The old ones I will keep and have them properly painted in Zambezi when I get to a "normal" country.

I found the edges bloody annoying and the stainless made the car look "cheap", almost as bad as the faded/flacky current ones. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I could tell close up but they really lift the looks, in my opinion.

I covered my keyhole and even after an almost flat battery last week don't regret the decision. Si. <This is my name.

There is aparently a few problems with painting the brunell ones, something to do with the oils in the plastic reacting to the paint. Have a search as there are a few threads on here about it.

I have the black covers on mine and they look good, you can tell they are covers close up but from more than about a foot away they look good. Well worth it imho. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

Can you not use primer for plastic to neutralise the plastic before spraying with prefered colour. I remember the good old days when you just sprayed it (just like an un neutered cat) lol. Memories of my mrk 2 Escort, mrk 3 Capri, mrk 3 Escort, 2.0 Granada, Audi 80 Quattro, XR3i geez I am old and this isn't the full list there are few cars I have not been brave enough to list quite a few. Traded in my Audi TT 225 for my Range Rover TD6 Autobiography in Java Black. Range Rover now sold.

Painting them does'nt work very well as the wax content of the plastic means they are prone to chipping! That's why the stick on type work so well Thumbs Up
