England 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black
2007 S/C - No Longer For Sale.

Sadly am putting my S/C up for sale.

It won't be the cheapest on the market, but it might just be the best. I was planning on keeping it for another year, so literally in the last 2 weeks have spent whatever is needed to make it perfect.

Then (having spent a couple of grand) I had a change in circumstance (a little windfall) that means the DB9 I've craved for years is an option. So sadly the S/C has to go. My loss is someone else's massive gain. The car is perfect. Any inspection is welcome. More than welcome. I know the car is perfect - truly faultless.

This is the ad that will be going on eBay, Autotrader, Pistonheads etc next week.

Would rather give FFRR members first refusal. Thumbs Up Any questions, just shout.

Joe. (jfb1977)

You are looking at my pride and joy. My 2007 (07) 4.2 Supercharged Range Rover Vogue SE. The car has just ticked over 87k on the clock and is Java black with black leather and all the toys - and I do mean all of them – with the exception of the fuel burning heater (which almost no petrol cars have) it has everything. Heated and air conditioned seats, heated rear seats, Harman Kardon 7.1 sound system, rear seat entertainment (with 2 sets of headphones and 2 remotes!), 6 CD changer, sunroof, venture cam, heated steering wheel, folding mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, piano black interior trim, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, 4 zone air conditioning, voice control – the list goes on….

The car was delivered on 1st June 2007 supplied by Lookers Land Rover in Chelmsford. It's the facelift with terrain response and electronic handbrake.

For those that don’t know, there were a huge number of improvements made in the MY2007 cars – the easiest way to tell if the car is a MY07 is to see if it has the electronic handbrake. If not, it’s a pre-facelift. If it does have the electronic handbrake, then please click here to understand the improvements this car has over the older style Range Rovers –

http://www.rangerovers.net/modelspecs/L322/2007.html

I've had the car about a year, and it's had two previous owners before me. I was planning on keeping it for at least another year, so very (very) recently gave it its annual service, fixing everything needed on a ‘no expense spared’ basis. However, I’ve had a small windfall recently which has meant a change in circumstance, which allows me to fulfill a boyhood dream of owning an Aston Martin, so sadly my Range has to go. I guarantee you will not find a more perfect and sorted example of a 2007 car anywhere in the country!

It's been serviced at Land Rover as follows -

14,011 miles at Lookers Land Rover Chelmsford - 25th March 2008
30,116 miles at Lookers Land Rover Chelmsford - 30th March 2009
45,234 miles at Lookers Land Rover Chelmsford - 12th April 2010
58,029 miles at Haldey Green Land Rover Barnet - 10th February 2011
70,196 miles at Caffyns Land Rover Lewes - 4th May 2012
86,632 miles at Hunters Land Rover Guildford – 22nd May 2013

It has tax until November 2013 and an MOT until May 30th 2014. It went through its MOT without a single advisory.

As I said, I was planning on keeping it, so this month it’s had an Inspection 2 at Guildford Land Rover (over £500). They said that it needed a new front tyre, so I replaced both fronts with OEM Continental Cross Contacts at a cost of £268 per tyre (have receipt). I’ve done less than 100 miles since. The rears have about 4.5 – 5mm tread left on each.

They also suggested that it needed a new electronic coolant pump, a new cooler pipe to the top of the oil cooler (which had a tiny leak), new front brake discs and a new rear wiper.

All of this work has been carried out this week (again, with receipts)! I even spent an extra £350 having new belts and pulleys to fix the fact that occasionally (when it’s really damp) I got a squeaky belt on start up!

As such, I honestly don’t think there’s a more sorted and perfect 2007 4.2 Supercharged Range Rover available on the market today. The car is mechanically and cosmetically perfect.

I'm an enthusiast owner and FFRR forum member so the car has been pampered (as you can tell) in my ownership and there has been no expense spared in the upkeep.

In addition to the above I also replaced both front air springs recently at a cost of about £900. I also replaced the rear washer motor, arm and wiper blades as they were less than perfect (a common fault). Receipts for all of this work are also provided.

Over and above the standard S/C Vogue SE spec, I’ve made a number of subtle modifications to the car. I’m sure I’ll miss something, but off the top of my head the work includes -

Upgraded to latest version of bluetooth module (now syncs contacts etc)
2012 nav disc
Digital TV upgrade
TV-in-motion (allows DVD / TV to be watched by passengers on the move)
Colour coded front grille, bonnet vent, side vents, door mirrors, door handles, boot strip and front and rear "Range Rover" lettering
Custom colour coded headlights with grey, not orange, reflectors
Privacy glass
Supercharged sill guards added (and original kick plates replaced last month)
Side and fog lights upgraded to white LED to match xenon main beam colour
All interior bulbs upgraded to white LEDs
Piano black steering wheel button cover
Genuine LR side steps
Rear parcel shelf re-trimmed in leather-effect vinyl to match interior leather
Genuine LR dog guard
Boot floor liner (not pictured)
Genuine LR 2012 style wheel centre caps and black ‘Land Rover’ valve caps
Autobiography black "supercharged" rear badge
Range Rover tax disc holder

There are also a bunch of pictures here –

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/21dgmidzdi1d5nz/t_wRIBJj6V

I’m looking for £19,500 OVNO for the car.

I know this isn’t the cheapest 2007 S/C in the UK, but it’s almost certainly the best. I would encourage any provisional buyers to look at as many other examples as you can, then come and see (and buy) this one.

Be quick. I’m pretty sure it won’t be around for long.

Thanks for looking.

Oh. Should also point out that of the 87k on the clock, 17k has been done by me in the last 12 months.

I am in sales for a big IT company and have customers all over the country. The car has been utterly faultless during those 17k miles. Most of them have (genuinely) been racked up on the motorway (I know that's what everyone says!) but with regular trips to Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle etc from my home in Surrey, it's actually true!

Having driven this very car shortly after Joe bought it, I can vouch for how nicely sorted it is and for Joe's enthusiasm.

It was driving this S/C that really sowed the seed for me to buy one of my own.

Joe, I've got to ask how much your Bluetooth upgrade cost. PM if you wish. Si. <This is my name.

Hi Si,

Thanks for your kind words about my car - she is a beaut - glad to see you finally took the plunge - yours looks like a minter too.

I did the bluetooth via Wiggs (forum member) - it's £65 on an exchange basis.

See here - www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

@Gary - ha! Good point! Although forum members actually have the 7 days that the auction is running to have first refusal! And they will of course be given preferential treatment over general tyre kickers! Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Got a couple of very good offers (£18,750 being the best one) but have had buyers remorse over the Aston deal and got cold feet. Confused

There are other things I can do with that money, and the more I look at my Range, and the more I re-read my advert, the more stupid I felt for selling it having just spent £2k making it totally faultless.

Apart from a tax disc in November I can't see it needing anything for at least 12 months. (God I hope don't regret putting that in writing - talk about tempting fate)! Shocked

Have made a pact with myself not to look at anything car-wise until the end of the year - hopefully we'll have a really snowy winter and I can congratulate myself on making a smart move!

(Although I can't guarantee I won't consider a 2012 facelift in a month or two, just to keep me interested. Now where did I put Craig's number...)? Thumbs Up Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Get the supercharger pulley upgraded as a treat for your 'new' purchase, Joe. I'm sure Craig could do that as well whilst it's being facelifted.

To be fair, the Aston will always be an itch that needs scratched. But you've years ahead of you to do that and the S/C is effectively a 4wd Bentley, so you're almost there anyway. Laughing Si. <This is my name.
