Since replacing the L322 with the D4 (I know... Wash my mouth out with soap) I've contemplated many cars to add to the fleet (DB9, Grand Turismo, XFR, S8, M5 etc) and keep coming back to FFRR SC..... It ticks so many boxes.... Especially when you live in the sticks and have a dog.

What's wrong with having your D4 for the nitty gritty and then a toy? Surely your not comparing a DB9/M5 to a L322 SC? Personally I love the D4, I'm currently running a much older L322 TD6 as a work horse (think trips to the garden centre, dogs to the woods/lake district, MTB's and adventure stuff) and then run my GTI as a sort of fun car. Ok the budget is less than yours but the idea is the same. Personally I'd love a Porsche GT2 as a toy and a TDV8 as a work horse. Perhaps in a few years. |

D4's brilliant and yes I am comparing. I need a 2+2 minimum so have been looking at the aforementioned. Stick in UK weather and country living though and SC rises through the ranks.

If you've the funds, then go for the 5.0, but you won't be disappointed with the 4.2, believe me. Si. <This is my name.

To be honest I would get rid of the D4, get a 5.0 and stick it on lpg and then get a proper weekend toy as the ff can do what your disco is doing albeit with 2 less pokey seats to take up boot space and with much more elegance FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
