2006 headlight wash wipe

Hoping someone can answer my question as I'm starting to panic.

Dropped my 54 plate but recently face lifted RR off tonight for an MOT. everything should be fine but I'm concerned about the headlight wash since the conversion. first squirt of the windscreen will activate the headlight wash but i have so far failed to get it to squirt again. have tried the windscreen wash at least 10 - 15 times but it never does the headlights again.

turn the car of and on again and squirt - same again - first one does do the headlights.

can someone clarify the sequence to activate the lights wash please as I think they may fail it on that. I may be lucky and they are looking at them when they tried the windscreen but i'm not holding my breath.

Thanks Ash

a ha...!

I wonder if it's the same as the previous years with wipers.. Just got this from RAVE..

"On the first operation of the windshield washers, the headlight wipers operate for 4 wipes, with the headlight washers operating for the first two of those wipes. Subsequently, the headlight washers and wipers operate every fifth time the windshield washers are operated (provided that at least 3 minutes has elapsed since the last headlight wash/wipe)."

Can someone confirm it's the same for the face lifted version only with jets rather than wipes. I certainly did not wait 3 minutes in between tries.. Ash

Thanks Stan - I only have RAVE for the earlier model and no user manual for the 06 to read so guessing.

If someone has a later RAVE (if it exists) or could have a look in their manual for me that would be great. It may not be the same for mine as I only did the upgrade and no ecu's or relay's etc were changed.

Just want to be armed with the info if they fail it on that. At least I can show them they do work if I know how.. Ash
