You are very close with the X, Joe90, and it really is very difficult to see with the naked eye, so the camera didn't pick it up very well. I know it is there, and I notice it in certain lights so it is worth pointing it out. It looks like someone opened the tailgate into a garage door, although there's no damage to the paint.

What bugs me more than the dent (now I've started examining the rear of your FF closely) is thta your rear numberplate is ever so slightly wonky.

Doesn't that drive you nuts each time you see it? It would me.

2 happy to see the comments. I couldn't see the dent and thought I must be going blind!

The dents in the bootlids are normally down to people trying to close them with stuff behind, therefore denting them with their palms as the bootlid hits resistance... Take the RANGE ROVER badge off most FF's and the tailgate looks bad, the badges mask these dents usually...
