United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Bonatti Grey
Before and After

I thought I would post some before and after pics of my 2006 SC. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago after about 3 months of looking for the right one. This one was almost perfect apart from the wheels and s/s side tubes which were not to my liking.

I have just fitted a set of OEM 20 inch wheels and a set of OEM style side steps which I got from Dan at Duckworth Parts.

The 22 inch wheels are now on ebay with the side tubes thrown in as a free gift to the winning bidder.

Give me your thoughts on whether you think I did the right thing or not, I think it looks much better now

Very nice.... Not sure about shiny mirror caps. Are they oem?
Previous owner liked his bling Razz Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

The After for me... Side steps really help you to get in/out without sliding off the seat and wearing it away..
Not keen on the chrome mirror caps tho'.. Previously..

I have to agree with what seems to be consensus, definitely after without the chrome caps.

The side steps are just handy (I have them as well, not for me but my passengers) and I don't mind them, or better I actually hardly notice them. I would remove them if I would be using the car for serious off-roading though. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

. . . I'm with you Brian - Big improvement.
The missile launchers looked pointless, and don't get me started on 22" wheels - you may as well ditch the revolutionary air suspension, chuck it in the skip and replace with wooden blocks Rolling Eyes

Top looking motor vehicle !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

much better without the tubes - I'm undecided on which wheels LOOK better (i'm aware they may feel different but they both look good and compliment the car well)

Lovely looking range though - whats the name of the Grey? looks nice 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Re: Before and After

The after wheels for me.

Perhaps the before wheels looked liked they were trying too hard? Rolling with laughter

Own preference is the classy (maybe slightly understated look on these cars).. After wheels are very smart and in keeping.

Thumbs Up

Similar colour as mine and 'the after' is same wheels - therefore my friend you have impeccable taste Very Happy
I have the deployable steps instead, but for my situation; short 'other half' & a 7 yr old daughter - side steps are necessary.
Had it, loved it!

Thanks for the comments everyone, seems like the majority agree with my choices.

The chrome mirror caps are OEM and they actually look better in the flesh than they do in the pictures.

Tuts, the colour is Bonatti Grey.

Pfazz, the ebay item number for the wheels is eBay Item No. 330924851570

dave699, I've also got the short "other half" problem, almost had to throw her a rope and pull her into the car Rolling with laughter

Second picture is WAY better and you can get Chrome Mirror Caps painted Body Colour they just rough up the chrome paint first. Would improve the overall look which is great anyway. Thumbs Up

After Thumbs Up

Those 22's look wrong - IMHO all 22's look wrong without a body kit - like 20's look wrong on an Overfinch.
