In heavy city traffic I'd go SC 10 to 12 mpg, TDV8 19 to 22 mpg

Your forgetting the biggest thing, it depends how quickly you want to get up to speed.

I always think that MPG is not quite so relevant if you are only doing a few city miles a day. Thats what makes the Petrol V8's great City Cars

Good taste with costa though, but coffee.... Hmmm ill stick to a grande hot choc with marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles... Enough sugar to get you over the morning low and then a large custard cream and caramel slice for the afternoon/evening pick me up!

Good question but TBH once you are in one of these beauties (and developed a coping mechanism for their issues) then you won't give a damm.
