Think it was a image search , and it was purely coincidence as it was my young nephew that was doing a school project on railway regions on my comp , when the image caught my eye. Thumbs Up

Tried mine but it nothing happened. Can only assume our friends volume of posts on this and the sister site influenced it?

Odd how some of those early pictures from the Sport forum are on Google but more recent ones are not.

I'll ping Martin about it, personally I'd prefer NOT to be on google. It's amazing how many times your name is indexed, if you use any other forums or review sites your name is stuck there for all to see!

I once went on an antique camera forum to find out some info on a Leica my Grandad gave me, then some norbert at work brought it up in conversation as he'd been sad enough to google me prior to a meeting. Twit. Discovery 4 HSE

This is also another good reminder why you should not post pictures of your car with the number plate showing as its not just people on the forum that get to see it, anyone could Google a search for Range Rovers and come up trumps with a few registrations for dodgy dealings.

Good point athough is there much risk if you have a private registration?

Most criminal activity would be done by using standard numberplates on Car Sales Forecourts etc?

A number of forum names on this and other sites use their forum id name as there car reg no, i must say that was something i was going to do initially?

If a crook has ANY number plate even a private reg, they can clone your car and go off speeding, hit and runs, all sorts, and it all gets blamed at you!

Why take the risk for a 2 minute effort to blank them out? Discovery 4 HSE

I agree crooks will do whatever i just felt that generally they are looking for plates that dont draw to much attention and just blend in.

I personally would blank out my plates on my pics if i knew how to submit the pics in the first place Whistle .
