2006 Range Rover Westminster 4.2 SC V8 Java Black
New to us 06 FF Westminster

Picked this up just over a week ago. Took her on a 1600km road trip over the past 3 days and she purred like a kitten the whole way.

Goes in shortly to have the 3M pulled off the front, full polish, couple minor paint repairs (prev owner dropped garage door on rear spoiler) and then new 3M on the front.

Now my '07 RR Sport HSE has a friend in the garage Smile

Nice combo: black on black suede/leather. I have never seen this in Europe, US nor anywhere else. Quite nice.

Not sure about the black headlights with the silver S/C grill => either keep it all silver or go for the whole blaclk finish Thumbs Up

Now, you can either give the RRS to the wife or sale it as you will never want to drive it again ! Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Well, actually the black headlights were a bit of a surprise to me. As it is a Limited Edition Westminster (only 42 in Canada, this is #38 ) I didn't really think they were anything but one of the "extras", but looking at other pics of Westminsters for sale in Canada - only 2 of this year - I noticed they had the normal headlights so someone has changed them. I believe they are inserts of some form, they have a "carbon fiber" type surface to them.

The suede is actually "Alcantara", which is a kind of leather replacement I guess although they do feel like suede Smile http://www.alcantara.com/#/en/menu/applications/automotive

Specs on her are here, although this is US specs (where they only sold 300) but virtually the same minus the Sat Radio.

Bought my '07 Sport brand new and she only has 70,000 km's on her (42k miles) after 6 years of driving, she isn't going anywhere and will be babied, driven only when I get the urge, not giving her up Smile

Canada, eh? Smile

The Westminster plaque looks badly applied, which seems a shame. It would drive me nuts seeing that every time I got in for a drive.

And you really must make more of an effort to keep it clean. Terrible! Razz

Very, very nice! Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Yep, some filthy sod put their dusty footprints on my floor mats, if I find out who they'll be passengers for the rest of their lives Smile

Didn't really notice the lack of care taken in applying the plaque, I'll have to take a closer look but it doesn't appear it's the black wood bit that's crooked, but the actual plaque. Not sure how they are attached but it will now drive me nuts until it is corrected Sad Glad to know I'm not the only OCD owner out there Laughing

I'm guessing it's some form of adhesive which could usually be softened with a hairdryer and gently removed with a flat blade so the plaque isn't bent as it lifts. Si. <This is my name.

bet you its some simple blue peter tape on the back of it

Smile get some sticker remover and let it dribble down the back before peeling it away gently and cleaning the lot up and reapplying it Smile

Watch where you reapply it as you could leave a faded patch exposed to drive you equally as nuts! my tip, leave a small gap like there currently is at the bottom right, all the way up the badge as that will always be darker and faded/unfaded wont show then Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
