Positioning of badges on tailgates - help needed please!

Hi Guys

Just having both tailgates painted and I'd like to get the badge positions spot on. It's had some paint already in this area and it looks like some of the badge positions have been guessed.

I found some good stuff here
http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic5664.h...e+position

so this sorts out the Land Rover Oval

We've just received the badges (all genuine) and although they're on a template it doesn't seem to define where they go.

Could I ask someone who knows that their badges are factory applied to do a quick measure up for me please?
Specifically,

Spacing between "VOGUE" and "SE" (characters are different widths so can't use a general one letter spacing)
The distance from the outside RH edge and bottom of the lower tailgate to the bottom and RHS of the words.

Same again for the TDV8 badge and finally a distance from the lower edge of upper tailgate to the bottom edge of "RANGE ROVER"

Thanks Muchly in advance

Bruce ...Always time for a brew !!

I thought this was the usual Vogue SE TDV8 badge layout?

Not sure Martin, wonder if they changed the badge layout on the newer cars? Mine being an 07MY was one of the earliest TDV8's I think, but also seen them on 56 plates.

I was sold mine as a VSE from a main dealer, it has all the VSE toys and all the docs I have support this, meaning I'm 99.9% sure my car is, as badged, a VSE.

It doesn't appear to have had any paint on the lower tailgate and all the lettering etc all matches throughout, all in Brunel.
Maybe someone else with an earlier VSE could confirm the positioning.

On the link the picture shows a car on a 09' Plate although it could be newer I suppose, it has the LED lights which I thought was a 2010>, wonder if its a 4.4 TDV8 and they revised the position to differentiate?

For all members with a keen eye, yes my Land Rover badge has a chip in the outer plastic!
For all members like me, with OCD, I have a new one to fit, which I am going to do today.

The spacing is a tough one.

I have seen the TdV8 badge placed in line with the end of the Vogue letters, this is where I put mine, using a land rover website picture for reference.

The one Martin has given the link to above, shows the TDV8 badge further to the right.

On a Vogue I put them central so everything looks square. Bit different on a Vogue SE but I still like the TDV8 badge (And Vogue/Vogue SE) central to the gap between number plate and tail-light.

On my Vogue SE it is as Martin has suggested with the TDV8 badge under the SE, rather than the VOGUE letters.

Thanks for the input guys it's appreciated.

I think as Gaz says middle - for - diddle seems to look right, but for my money I think the TDV8 badge centred under the Vogue badge might be the winner as per Dave's photos given there seems to be no one correct way or it may be year specific.

Seen a Dark metallic Red 10MY Autobiography in Helmsley at the weekend.
This only had an 'Autobigraphy' badge fitted - R/H lower tailgate, no TDV8 or supercharged badge.
I believe it was a Diesel as it had down-turned exhaust (same as mine) and i believe Supercharged models have the tailpipes visible & closer to rear bumper...
