Garage conversion

I have a modest sized garage 15ft7 by 8ft4, I'm looking to turn it into a better gym than it is currently.

The problem is that I have a few tools and a mountain bike that take up a lot of room. More awkward room that a lot of room!
Has anyone got any decent storage solutions for a bike?
I'm also after a decent tool cabinet. Are the ones in halfords (5 drawer) really flimsy? If so, where can I get decent cabinets?
I don't win to buy Censored pay twice.

Maybe I will just make my own!

Coatco have a big roller chest in at the moment, if you have one near you......

Looks fairly sturdy, quite large though. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I have made my own toolbox/workbenches. I have two, on wheels and they are quite handy and very very sturdy. I used pine beams and plywood. The two were designed to fit together and go through the side doors of the GMC as we were planning to move that with to the "next location". The GMC is gone but the benches are in my storage container. If you're interested, I can dig up some pics.

Bikes can go up (hooks or wires and hooks from the ceiling or on the wall) or in these little outside "tin" sheds (more like big storage boxes) ? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I'm in the middle of sorting out my other garage and storing my bikes, one solution is large hooks or if money is no object then the Steady Rack from Wiggle is a great product. I'm toying with these but requiring 4 of them soon hikes the price up

My solution so far

Again if money is no object for the cabinets then look at Lista products, you won't get much better. For something a little less expensive then how about some of these from Costco

I had a ceiling mount, pain in the arris, I kept bumping into the bike every time I went passed it.

All depends on available space this looks a clever idea for ceiling mounts

You're not going to fit a FFRR under there without doing some damage though

CrookedM the best solution for bikes long term is like John's.

The hooks are cheap enough from B&Q or the like though for a heavy mountain bike i'd put two up Smile

As for tool chest,s the halfords ones aren't too bad and they sometimes have offers on. A recent one had 2 chests for the price of one for £300.

I'm in the process of building my own workbenchs using some old bricks for the pillars and a Duropal kitchen worktop that was 4.2 meters long cut in half to give me 2 decent benchs on 2 walls.

Total cost all in is about £50 for the lot Smile including the premix mortar stuff from B&Q but i wouldn't buy it again as it just doesn't seem to mix right Sad

Garden tools like my mower, strimmer, spades and chainsaw bits and some fuel canisters too. And then the workbench has a nice heavy duty vice on it and some other gubbins but the garage needs a clear out after i moved in so that will be a nice weekend job! Currently its got a Saab 9-3 mint 1.2 leather interior, varios other saab parts, 4 racks of stuff and then more jerry cans and some bikes and garden furniture and bbq stuff so is a bit packed as is about the same size as yours Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
