Bonnet access mode

Can't find this on wiki but how can the bonnet be changed to access/ workshop mode? 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze
2002 Vogue V8 Zambezi Silver

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Luxor

If you look at the bonnet hinges, there is a clip on each side with a bent out tab. These tabs lock the bonnet into the first opening position. If you bend the tabs out, the bonnet can rise to the near-vertical access mode.

Be careful though, there are two tabs, one each side and you need to support the weight of the bonnet, so most likely a two person job.

England 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I use a short piece of cord to tie up one of the struts for when you're lowering the bonnet back down, it saves it digging in if you're doing it on your own i.e. you can't be at both sides at once ..just a thought! ...Always time for a brew !!
