France 2007 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

"at that price it'll make a nice shooting hack.."

Having lived in the states that phrase means to me: "I'll use the car as an aim to shoot at"
We would empty our guns at wrecks. So you see how that phrase could be insulting?
Yes, English is not even my second language but my fourth. My French, German and Dutch are a lot better.

Nothing more dangerous as cultural differences. Raging wars are caused by those.
Anyway the Dutch and the Brits have had enough wars in the 16TH century.
Take care and enjoy your shooting Thumbs Up

A shooting hack would be the vehicle that is used for travelling to and around a shoot.

ie, a group of perfectly sane people, stood in a field with shotguns - not stood in the street shooting at cars..

I would imagine you're the only person on this forum that misunderstood this Mr. Green

Have a good weekend.

Rob.

Mmmmmm, maybe it is a Dutch thing then. My initial thought was also, "drive that truck onto the range boy and we'll shoot the crap out of it" (preferably uttered in a strong Southern US accent Wink )

And for the record, I think that would be a terrible waste. The car looks lovely Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I'm struggling now Shocked why would I offer to pay £6000 for a car so I could shoot at it.. Do people actually do this in the real world, or have I just had a sheltered upbringing?.. Very Happy

So let me get this straight.. You paid £15,000 to go hunting lions even though you don't shoot living creatures?..

You've not been sampling that funny tasting chocolate cake that's popular in Holland, have you? Whistle

Nighty, night..

Laughing Laughing at this thread now.

Rob, I understand exactly what you meant. In fact I currently use it to take me down to the clay pigeon shoot myself and it sits very nice with the other 4x4's.

How barbaric, photohunt, dear Rob, photohunt.
If you don't understand people Rob, it does not mean that THEY are on space cake....

Anyway, I am happy with the RR and with the differences between islanders and mainlanders, it gives us something to Twisted Evil about.

Sorry for my lame English, enjoy this hot day and evening, hope to run in to you again soon.

Enjoy your new car,

It's sort of a backwoods, bayou type tradition. It's something a 'good ol' boy' does to pass the time after he's married his sister. Mr. Green

Wow, are we ever off topic now... Shocked
