United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Bonatti Grey
New FFRR Owner

Hi Guys

I'm new here and this is my first post

After much deliberation and hesitation I've finally taken the plunge and purchased my first RR, it's a 2006 S/C Vogue SE in Bonatti Grey with Ivory interior and 22" style 11 alloys shod with Yokohama Paradas.

I really like the car but I'm not sure about the wheels and might change them for something more befitting someone of my age.

The main reason for the post is to ask if anyone knows a good Indy in the Dumfries area or if anyone has had any experience of the local stealer, Lloyd's in Carlisle

Welcome to the SC club of crazy petrol heads and the forum of course Smile

Personally I am a big fan of the original look (and that is not just because I can not get the stuff here Smile ) but also because the original 20" wheels look better than any 22 I have seen.

Oh and please make sure you change your gearbox oil cooler, if that goes wrong the cost is "substantial" Whistle

Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I have run my SC on both 20"s and 18"s and I've actually found the factory 20"s have the best ride. I think it's because the SC has marginally stiffer suspension it needs the stronger wheels to force it to comply better. Also it goes round corners way better on 20"s. However I wouldn't go any larger as it's quite hard to kerb the 20"s due to having a nice chunky sidewall still.

^+1 the SC suspension is stiffer than a standard Vogue pre 2007 Internal-Facelift.

Thanks for the welcome messages and advice everyone, I think I'll get rid of the 22s and look for a good set of 20s.

The car is also fitted with a set of chrome side tubes which look really good but I'm thinking about replacing them with side steps as my wife who is only 5' is struggling to get into the car even at access height.

there is a how to somewhere but easiest way is to save the pics u want on your desktop, click on "Gallery" on this page (just below the FullFatrr.com logo top right) and then click "upload photos" - afterwards you will have to create an album in "my photos"

Thumbs Up
