2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey
touch screen nav dim

Should the nav go in to night time settings when lights are on? cant find any settings but all other cars i have owned the map will go black when dipped beam comes on? -----------------------------------------------------------

I had that problem with mine and dreaded finding out the cost of a new screen. The mechanic updated some software and that sorted the problem.

Mark_j, No. It's uselessly crap. Same system in the Disco. It is incapable of recognising nighttime (or even having a night setting). The two settings you can have are very similar, so it's not worthwhile switching except for brightness levels. I just turn mine off.

RR2008HSE, different question. The OP's screen is working as designed.... Graham

The touch screen has a light sensor so does not dim with the light switch, as you can run in the daytime with lights on if necessary and still see the screen...

Try waiting for a couple of seconds to a minute for the screen to adjust as night...
