Square style front grille - options

I'm not too keen on the grey square style front grille on my05 TD6 and looking at possible options, I know it won't be to everyone's taste but honest opinions would be appreciated.

1. Wrap in 3m black carbon fibre
2. Wrap in 3m gloss black
3. Spray paint - colour coded to body work
4. Spray paint - contrasting colour maybe silver
5. Purchase square style supercharged grille

I may purchase one of eBay so I can keep the original if I ever want to go back.

1. No way
2. No way

4. Why not respray in Brunel grey?
5. Absolutely not, LR never made them look Censored so why should you!

Other option is to facelift it Smile

Personally I would do that as the parts come up every now and again cheap enough, especially from someone who has facelifted.

There are some that claim to be sc grilles as noted by rruk, but they aren't Sad

Maybe just getting it respected bak up as well as the bonnet grille to match and then some newer side vents to finish it off?? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

1. No
2. No
3. Only if you want it to look like a Discovery
4. Brunel grey is the right colour
5. No

I'd go for the proper facelift - if a jobs worth doing.......... Anything else makes it look like a Halfords special IMHO

Ok so vinyl wrap looks out, black might be ok but then it will look like a disco, brunel grey or facelift

I'd love to facelift it but haven't got £700 lying around for the parts.
Brunel grey looks pretty much like the original
I think I might try black, there are some on eBay going for around £50, if I buy one and don't like it I can always sell it again, if I spray mine it's going to cost £20 ish in paint anyway and if I don't like it, I'm stuck.

Brunel grey is the original - no point spraying it if it's already that colour and in good condition.

Cheapo black one from eBay sounds like a reasonable plan Thumbs Up

Found a car on eBay with the kind of look I like so think I might go for this, but does anyone know how to achieve the black detailing on the lights, I'm assuming you need to remove the lenses and either paint or wrap them?

Edit...doh just done a quick search and there are fair few hits on how to detail the lights

I also did the stupid shiny bits you can see in this picture - although I don't seem to have a picture of the finished whole to hand...

If you want a FREE (gratis, bumpkis), 'chromeover-ed' 02-05 front grille to experiment/work on, then I have one sitting in my garage that you would be most welcome to have. I have no idea as to whether the chrome strips will come off cleanly, if at all, though.

Picture of the grille is here :

Much appreciated, very kind offer however I decided to go with black standard grill and I'm probably going to detail the light black too.
