For those of you that have the above, what do you get real world average mpg?

When the 4.4 was released they said it would do 30mpg, is that realistic? Discovery 4 HSE

Not owning a 4.4L (but a 3.6) but having test drove the 4.4 on in very different weathers and conditions, on and offroad, I can confirm the MPG is 5 to 8% better than the 3.6L thanks to the lovely gearbox. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

As above in old posts on here i'd seen that it was a little better for longer journeys but more improved about town due to the quicker lock up and change up on the new 8 speed box.

BTW the box is lovely after a few k when its settled in  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

I've had mine a few months now and unfortuntely I've only got to use it around London and greater London so no motorway miles but the OBC is showing average of 25mpg. I assume that means it will get close to 30 for motorway.

On my commute into leeds which is a mix of country lanes to start and a crawl into the city center I get around 23 in the winter and around 25 in the summer. On a journey down to London from Harrogate I get around 32 going 70-80. If you dropped into the 60's you could get 35 but go above 85 and the economy drops right off. My driving style is pretty relaxed so I don't think I could get a lot more than that without falling asleep at the wheel  2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

After 18 months my average is 20 mpg but the car spends most of its time towing 2200kg of caravan.

Ok, first off, do not believe what the OBC says about average mileage. On my 2012 RR, the OBC would have me doing an average of upwards of 27.5 mpg with the occasional 30mpg outing.

Real life measurement gives the Fuelly running total below.

Funniily enough though, the distance to empty OBC reading for a full tank is as it would be for the real-life average, not the OBC average.

I've done 10k miles in 7 months, so not a light user. We live in a rural area and my daily 80 mile commute is on decent A and B roads and the A34.

Doubt I'll better 25mpg average, but I did't get the RR for it's economy  2012 FFRR Westminster Orkney / Ivory and absolutely no pimp-glass!

Running around locally 28, motorway speeds 👻 29 and conservative driving on m'way 35 is possible. She is only ticking over at approx 1500 revs at 70! And from memory 2k at 100. No wonder LR limit it to 130, at 4k she would in theory be doing 200 mph

I do a 90 mile daily commute, mainly A roads and motorway, plus local short trips at the weekends. In my 3.6 I averaged around 25-26mpg, in the 4.4 it's been 31mpg for the last 2k miles. This is according to the mpg meter. I am not light footed, I drive 'normally', and when safe tomdo so I make good progress, paricularly on motorways. Both were/are JE remapped. MY23 D350 HSE
On my 7th RR plus various other JLR vehicles

33 mpg for first 9,500 miles in mine. Mix of city and motorway at all times of day. I don't have a heavy right foot though.

The onboard is total crap just like the Disco pmsl think they call it the lie-o'meter on various sites

24 mpg real world on the 4.4 2011.5 with the new gearbox and 23 on the 2012 sdv6 Disco with the older style gearbox.

Real world motorway at ave 80 MPH is 27 mpg

My 2013 SDv8 is giving real world 25 ish mixed rural and motorway.

Interesting the new 2013 MY car , had a 3.0 on loan and that managed 24.5 real world but you have to hit the loud pedal a lot harder than the 4.4 to get it to move at any good pace, and when at 50 ish and want to go or overtake it's dire compared to the 4.4 SDV8.

But as above on other post's don't buy a rangey for the fuel economy .......... you drive it to enjoy it........ Far to many gone...

I'm showing combined of 29mpg. Mostly motorway at 69+++mph Current MY2020
Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's

Quick calculation based on ltrs used and miles driven suggests I averaged a real world 29.5mpg last week over 500 miles. Not too dissimilar from the tacho reading. MY23 D350 HSE
