England 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver

Wow! Things have got pretty hot on here! Shocked

Lets all just get along now and accept that their are differences.

I know many people including members on here who have had and enjoyed both. Thumbs Up

All this flaming of the RRS by the FFRR guys is a bit pathetic is it not?
Reading this whole thread it seems clear that the posts by the FFRR guys
seem to be mostly based on the price or perceived kudos of the car giving
you some sort of elevated opinion of your place in the world!
I bought my RRS because I like the whole package. If I'd wanted a FFRR I could
easily have bought one, but (at the moment) it's not what I want out of my car.
This may change at some point and if it does I seriously hope that I won't turn in
to the type of person that seems to think that just because I have a Range Rover
I'm better than the guy driving around in a cheaper car. The comments on this post
are exactly the reason that many people despise what they see as Stuck Up Rich
Tw Censored ts lording it around in their Big Fancy Cars.
Just because we are more fortunate financially than many people doesn't make us superior to them.
Infact, if this thread is anything to go by, then we are probably inferior in character to most of them!

Kidology is a wonderful thing but when folk cannot take what they give out they should think twice about posting... Ner Ner

Anyhow whats a RRS ............ Wink Wink Wink ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

I think I said Poncy ****ers, but you're close enough!

We love FFRR, don't get us wrong, just the attitude maybe needs slight mods!! And we're not all drug dealing, gun smuggling, ho selling (ok maybe the later applies, my other half does stuff when i pay for stuff for her)......

Hello RRS guys who've come over for a bit of fun.

If you go back to my post on the first page with the quote that seems to have got you bent out of shape, you'll see a laughing face above it. Many thanks. Thumbs Up

Right, I'm off now to lord it over the rest of the population and have tea with the Queen before jumping on the yacht for the weekend. Tally Ho! Laughing

Wonder if I should mention that the other car we have is a Skoda... Rolling with laughter

Joking aside, most people (not owners, or those on this thread obviously!) think the RRS costs more anyway. It's all in the name. If you were to ask a hundred people in the street which is more expensive

A) A Range rover

or

B) A Range Rover sport

The common sense answer to those that don't know is B) Range Rover sport (because it has an extra word Rolling Eyes ). Obviously, as a RRS owner, I was happy to let people think that, as a full fat owner it Censored me off! Also the fact that the full fat has been around longer and is cheaper to buy 2nd hand, just adds to the facade.

So in fact, as far as image goes (and it's only my opinion people Very Happy ) 95% of the 'lay' public think the sport drivers are the rich ones..............

I also think Dan should be congratulated for finding the RRS teddy so far from it's pram Laughing Laughing

A history lesson :

The Discovery (project Jay) was derived from the Range Rover. It saved Land Rover.

The RRS was derived from the Discovery 3. It did not save Land Rover.

End of lesson Thumbs Up

It's not about price, snobbishness or anything else, the L322 is *THE* Range Rover. The others just have its name..... Land Rover Addict
