Real life Supercharged MPG

I'm very tempted by a 2007 Supercharged, but what MPG could I expect in 'Real life' Wink

I do 15% town, and 85% A Roads.

I used to average 23 in my TD6, and just wondered if I could run to a Supercharged Evil or Very Mad Whistle

2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver

With your split of A roads etc I'd imagine you'll average about 16ish.......on a long run I can average about 20 if i sit about 75ish

For the record, my trips are sitting about 13 right now, but it does a lot of silly short town journeys.....but then again, i've got LPG when I want it !! Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

My average on the computer for a week is typically 16-17

Wife uses as a daily driver, so school run and shops etc. no heavy in town jams.

Drive like a nun and you can see 20-22 but the power is too much fun to ignore Razz

1200 miles recently on a week round France. Cruise control at 130kph (well maybe a little more ..) on the lovely
Autoroutes.. Wasn't hanging about and car was loaded up.
And also returned 17mpg. Over 400 litres of petrol Shocked

Plenty of threads on here about the maths of petrol over diesel
I only do 7k miles a year. No brainer for me

Do it. Thumbs Up Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

My non-supercharged Audi S4 only did 15mpg, so anything in the teen sounds pretty good to me... Graham

I sold my TD6 earlier in the year, and to be honest, regretted it as soon as it went Big Cry

So bought an old Skoda Estate Embarassed Whistle from someone down the road for a few 100 £'s,(just to tide me over until I can find a FF again) but I've been impressed by the cars build quality and reliability + 50 / 60 mpg.

So just a thought, but maybe keep Skoda for work / dog / dirty jobs, and get Supercharged for best Wink

If the skoda is doing you proud and you are doing a decent milage on it then find a good multi car policy provider and keep it. Its always nice to have something that could take the abuse that would end up thrown at an FF like shopping runs and tip trips and if you try i bet it would get even higher MPG's...

A friend has a mk6 golf 1.6TDi and when she's let me use it to help her out i can get it into the high 70's without really trying although about town it drops into the 50's.

Im currently using an old C5 of my dads and thats achieving 50's most of the time but is a very old HDi90 engine which is never as economical as the HDi110's Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

16-17mpg mainly short runs, but almost 20 for the longer runs. I thought LPG was to be avoided on the 4.2SC??

Anyway, you're a long time dead, get one!
