United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

Buy a petrol one but non LPG as these can cause problems.

You won't look back if you buy a proper petrol one.

The smoothness, the sound and yes the fuel prices but if you own one the petrol price will be your smallest expense believe me! 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

Scotland 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Thanks for all the input and that silver one looks ideal with perhaps a bit of negotiation on the price so will definately look into it.

I dont do a huge mileage so wont rule out a non lpg petrol one. Most sellers will look for a premium having lpg fitted so I suppose its trying to work out if its worth paying extra for if I dont do that many miles.

I set out a couple of months ago looking for a vogue in silver either diesel or lpg with around or under 100k. It had to have blacked out rear glass a non grey interior and a towbar:-) At the time I saw a few and let them go thinking there are loads in silver out there with that spec but now Iam ready to buy I cant find one!

Hi, don't be put off the LPG systems, had all my RRs on gas over the last 13 years, the latest one (2003/53 Vogue ) on gas for last 2.5 yrs/ 34000 miles, never gone wrong, paying 63.9 /litre at mo, cost £1500 to convert - Look in the LPG section, lots of info on there. Litre for litre gas is approx 90% efficiency of petrol, so don't expect equal returns, but I still like the improvement in cost per mile. Make sure you get a LPGA certificated conversion...good luck in your search.

Cheers for that and funnily enough I was just looking at one where according to the reg was registered as bi fuel on the dvla but wasnt registered on the lpga site http://www.drivelpg.co.uk/ Do you know if this would cause problems getting insured as Ive read that some insurance companies need it to be on the lpg register?

I am not 100% certain about the insurers position- I think they take differing approaches. Getting the LPGA approval makes it easier to get the DVLA to accept the bi-fuel status I gather. Having said that, the LPG forum contains differing views, some saying that you are better off with a well installed carefully managed independent conversion, than one from a firm that does these one-day (allegedly) rushed jobs, but is LPGA reg. To my mind, I prefer to use a local firm that I can trust, and build a little bit of a working relationship with- pretty much the same as I would choose my servicing/repair man.
FYI, I used Swiftcover for my insurance and ticked the box for 'modifications'- ticking the LPG box on the webform did not increase my premium- the small print indicates that this kind of work is an accepted mod.
Any further info please PM me, as we are a long way off the original For Sale....& wanted theme.

Good info regarding lpg cheers Thumbs Up

Thanks for highlighting the black one above but unfortunately not really what Iam after as there is a premium for the facelift conversion and £10k for a 2003 seems expensive as they want an extra £1600 on top to add lpg.
