Removing Game Saves From Playstation 3.........

Been 100% reliable until now, but whilst playing Bioshock Infinate, my PS3 froze - during an autosave.

The upshot is, Bioshock now hangs when you start it,before the game menu appears, so I can't play that anymore.......

......and if from the XMB I go into the Game Save folders, if I go into Bioshock, the system freezes, so I can't press the triangle and delete them.

So, to me, looks like the Bioshock game saves are corrupted.

Is there a way of just deleting my game saves (I have backed up the others.) or will I have to format the disk and lose all the game demos etc etc ?

I have just backed up the whole system to external disk, but if I restore that, it'll have the corrupt save on........

Anyone had to do similar.........?

I've a feeling it'll involve a format.......

Thanks

If you've saved it to an external hard drive can you not access the corrupted file and delete it on a pc? The once that's done reload it onto ps3. I've never had any dramas regarding the ps3 save files, but good luck mark. Bushy

Cheers mate,

Current plan is to get a bioshock game save from someone else on usb, and copy it on my ps3. I tried with other working game saves and the system asks if you want to overwrite it......

Will connect the drive with the full backup on to my pc and see what can be done that way, as you suggest.

If anyone has bioshock game saves they can zip up and email.........

Many thanks 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Just checked the external disk I used to back the whole system up, and its made up of 40 odd DAT files which are about 4GB each.

I've not found a program yet that can open a file that big.

Answers on a postcard.............. Rolling with laughter

Will try and get a decent Bioshock Infinate save to overwrite my corrupt one...........

Thanks 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
