Like I said Rob, if they won't give deposit back just tell them your prepared to name and shame them online and post the reg of the vehicle, if not to save some other poor soul from them as its still money at the end of the day. A deposit is just free money to them until you pay the rest Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I agree with Will.

Next time, let them put everything on paper before you pay a deposit Smile

I hope you quickly find a nice car as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

OK so I have moved on...£200 forgotten about (almost -maybe a bottle of wine will help tonight)

There is a possibility I'm going to look at Ollie's car but he has someone else coming to look at it tonight and I cant get there, if they don't want it I'm going to go and have a look

I do have another possibility lined up, any opinions?

Yes time to move on but I would it is pretty poor show by the garage not to give your deposit back.

Looks good other than the massive wheels but they could likely be sold one easy enough and standard ones bought to replace them Smile

Its got the interior and electronic uplift but not the exterior one but should still be a good motor.

Check the rear arches and boot lid edges for rust and its actual condition as well Smile
Same interior combo as mine as well Smile

Check the passenger seat headrest goes down as its strange to see one at full height.

Exhaust again is,, urrrm unique lol! Drivers seat isn't too saggy for the miles which is good but rear number plate could do with replacing with a proper one but they are only about £10 and a 5 min job to do Smile

If you do drive it remember with those wheels on it will be a lot more crashy than a standard one but will corner better as well. though with the roads up this way its likely to suffer a cracked rim at some point if not swapped Sad
100% non genuine front grille but swapping it out for an OE less chromed one is an easy job if you want to do that. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

PS ones like this...

Show they must be keeping their money to someone...

Though if you could stretch a bit further a TDV8 is within reach...

Maybe this one??

LPG already done which would lower running costs and has a stronger gearbox than the TD6. Colour isn't to everyone's taste though.. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

This one hasn't met reserve or even a bid yet so maybe open to offers if its good. The small bits from the light protectors could be patched up properly for little money as well i bet.

Maybe this could tickle your fancy....

Its an SSRR mind but still might be worth a look.

Has some curbed wheels but low miles and the interior looks like it needs a good doing but could be worth a look as well?

Not sure about the wheels or the roof wrap but could be removed i suppose and wheels sold and it is white i guess but LPG V8 as well... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Laughing
You've been busy Will, thanks for all that, I've seen a fair few of them online myself too.

I might go and see the one in Bury, your right about the wheels, don't want large rims - cost of tyres, increased insurance, ride comfort all negatively affected in my opinion - though the front grille I actually don't mind.

IMHO 19" is the best size for handling, comfort and pricing. Although 18's are a LOT cheaper for tyres and purchase they just dont look as good and handling is much worse i thought Smile

If you need some spare wheels to get you around for a bit while the bigger ones are sold let me know as i have a spare set you can borrow that are scuffed and curbed a fair bit Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well I'm not getting the car, I spoke to salesman and at best he provided inaccurate information when asked a specific question regarding the terms and conditions of sale, I spoke to the garage owner and he denies that this was ever said, I cant buy a car from a garage that I know told me incorrect information...so I've lost the deposit but rather that than buy from them!

I would give them one final opportunity to refund your deposit, and if they refuse, leave an honest and open review on qtype. If nothing else it will give other potential buyers a heads up. I've been saved by this site before, and I now always google a dealers feedback before buying. Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
