Thanks Vogue, your method seems a safer bet. I just need to figure out how to get to the back of the cigar lighter.

I did look at the kick-plate and side vent but chickened out Embarassed

what year is your vehicle, pre or post 07?

If its pre 07, just open your cubby box, and grasp the large cup holder in the consul and pull it up firmly, it will unclip out and all the cables are seen underneath it. simples Cool saves dismantling anything at all...

The 07's onwards are a bit more of a fiddle to get to the live cables...
