after having a think , could it be lowering the brightness of the dash lights , for night driving for instance. ... - .- -.

Maybe it's a speed dial for Khan and they rush out and paint your car (all trim etc) Matt black? Thus rendering it in Stealth mode in terms of ever getting money for it secondhand?

after trying it on L405 can confirm that it is to dim lights for night driving
