Normal run temp

I put my OBD program on today whilst running and after around an hour the coolant temp was only 53c this seems low and my gauge was just above the blue and when i think it never goes any further could this be thermostat (heater temp fine)

Too cold, cant remember what it should be but around 90 ish i think.

Sounds like a stat stuck open.

Which engine do you have? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I've been monitoring stuff like this for a while. Mine generally runs at 96 for coolant and engine oil.

Normal running temp is c. 90 degrees. I recently had the same issue, changed the main stat and egr stat to fix it.

I was struggling to get the cabin warm on very cold days. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

It depends if you have been driving or sitting still in the driveway for an hour. Diesel engines don't warm up very well when the car is not driving (as diesels, don't know about the TD6/TDV8 though, have a coolant flow that is going "around" the thermostat). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
