Norway 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
will this engine fit?

Hello,

My 2002 model Vogue needs a new engine. It is a 4.4l 286hp, engine code is 448s2.

My question is; can anyone tell me if this engine fit, and will it be a straight "swop"?

Thank you!

Are you saying that you can't get your engine refurbished properly for well over 3000 pounds ?? I mean with shipment and everything, I would expect that you can get yours back in to tip top shape. Don't forget that that second hand engine could also have had a "hard life".............

Good luck with the replacement, sorry to hear that you have to Sad MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

In 12 years only 79.000 miles??? This offer could come from germany, because here all!!!!!!! Wink engines had run 90.000km, even when the car is older then 12 years..., the price is not good (3.600,00 Euro), you can buy a complete, perhaps demaged car (BMW) from that year. Here is a offer, half price, and you can try to pay without the shipping costs!

Thank you Meerbusch! I have contacted the steller, and asked a couple of questions.

Ebajema, the problem is that the Norwegian work shops take about 120 pounds per hour Shocked So it gets expencive real quick..

So I hope a second hand engine could work for now.

Wow, for those sort of labour rates you can send it to Holland and have the work done there Smile I thought Holland was expensive.

Still, there is always a big risk that a second hand engine is not much better. So depending on how handy you are yourself, can you do the engine stripping yourself and just send the components of to be refurbished ?

Get the cylinders rebored, buy the new pistons/rings online. Buy the new valve seals online, have the valves re-seated by a prof outfit. Fit new crankshaft bearings yourself etc. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
