FBH is triggered automatically to help coolant warm-up for quicker cabin heat. |

sounds like the FBH Mick, if it is not working and its cold it could still be trying to fire up and feeding fuel to the burner, which isnt igniting properly leading to the smoke.

FBH will work at a certain temperature regardless of whether you set timer or press remote.

Under warranty, but really you need to be sitting down when they give you the bill. They are the best part of £1500 to get swapped. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

With such a short commute it doesnt give the time for the engine to warm through, and the fbh will try to give a boost to the engine coolant temp, so would be running when you start it and when you turned it off, if it were working that is..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Will probably be the fbh. if its def not working then the good thing is its trying to work so will more than likely just be the glowplug. i replaced one on my eberspacher, similar to webasto, and was about £30ish. not an expensive fix if you can do it yourself '04 td6 se

On a cold day the FBH will come on without your intervention. Not pressing the remote or not programming the timer makes no difference.
