Got a mate considering this as a cheap weekend toy and am going to view tomorrow with him. Am not up to speed on the P38 myself, anything to watch for?

Don't know to much about them. I know they suffered from porous blocks and slipping liners. Have a look over at www.landyzone.co.uk as that's more P38 focused. I know the guy who runs grease monkeys (Landrover specialist) searched high and low for the lowest spec manual one he could find as there plagued with electrical faults. Nice just the sort of toy I would like (having sold mine five years ago!)

To me that is expensive. Judging by the centre console the Nav has been removed, you may not use it but it's nice to have, and I'm always wary of a P38 that has been modded in any way where the electrics are concerned.
