i had the subwoofer rattle/vibration for ages then i found out it was the woofer vibrating against the trim in the boot so i got a bit of cardboard and stuck it between the woofer and the trim and it stopped |

I have harmon kardon and there is an option in the screen for the sub woofer volume.

You could try a dab of bathroom sealant on the bolt threads. Should prevent screws or bolts from loosening through vibration (once set) without preventing you from undoing them again, should you need to. |

also have the rattling subwoofer - tightened up the screws, using a bit of silicone between speaker and housing as well as bit on screws itself - its better but not totally gone
