2018 Range Rover Autobiography 2.0 PHEV Loire Blue

Auction visit with pics.

Went to an auction today to try and weigh up the possible advantage (price) of buying there. I've bought a TD6 at auction before which turned out to be a great car. There are no doubt pro's and cons though so any opinions would be appreciated.

A couple of sports went through first:

This was a TDV6 HSE 2007 with 66000 miles

this sold for £24350

Next was another sport TDV8 this time. 2008 with 38k miles

Next was a 2006 TD6 Vogue SE. Java black with all the extras. Had 68k miles on it

Sold for £21000 which seemed cheap to me, but not as cheap as the last 1....

This was 2006 Vogue TDV8 in grey with 92000 miles. Stornoway grey with black leather.

This sold for an amazing £24800. All cars reached their reserve sold at the prices i've stated.

The only thing missing from this 1 was a S/C grill. IMO the stornoway grey colour doesn't look right with a standard grey grill, which is too close to the cars colour.

On top of prices would be a buyers premium of around £700 but would have still made the TDV8 a bargain!

I like that colour with the standard grille. I saw one recently with a painted gloss grille and it looked smart. Sort of D4 ish. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Interesting info re the auction and I totally agree about the Stornoway not looking right with the stock 3 bar grille.

Yep , thats it

Looks ok on most cars when the grille contrasts but just too close to the colour for stornaway.

Transforms yours.............

Woah, I really would never have thought that a grille would make it look so different, I can see what Noddy means about it looking like a D4 in with the original one. 2006 Mercedes CLS
