Be glad it's not a VW! A Jetta made the news here a few days ago when the seat heater shorted and set a car slight while it was being driven! The driver survived unhurt, but wasn't very happy. Media reports said it was a known VW fault.

This is the first time I hear of it (there are some posts about the heated/cooled seats). I can imagine that it can be condensation but would expect it to be on the cooling as the drop in temperature could cause condensation. Have a little search and see how exactly it works and where the heat is generated from, maybe a small leak in the heater core or condensation in the heater core or AC condensation water not ending up underneath but inside the car and carried by the warm air ??? I would think it could be condensation, similar to the windscreen misting up in certain conditions. 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE Java Black |
