ok, this is a wild shot, but it could be water in your fuel. We get this on tractors, remedied by opening the water tap and draining the fuel filter at the bottom - or replacing the fuel filter. Fuel stored in steel tanks is subject to condensation, especially if the tank is used very slowly and is only part full for extended periods - could be this if the fuel was bought from a small garage...

I'd say get it plugged in and checked. If it is an injector issue it should show up on the relevant Landrover test equipment and could save a load of faffing around.

It doesn't make sense to be a fuel delivery issue as its ok at Higher revs.

If my previous reading is right there are two fuel pumps on a TD6 but I've yet to confirm this.

All of which should show up on a plug in test as low pressure if they are an issue.

400 miles is around a tankfull of fuel so maybe it is water from the bottom of the tank, just depends how often you run it that low and how often / if at all the fuel filter has been changed.

Keep us posted if you do suss it out in the meantime.

My first thought is that it sounds like the mass air flow meter.

Its certainly displaying those symptoms, and its a cheap/easy fix Thumbs Up TDV8 HST Sport **Current**

I had this on mine

It will be the low pressure fuel pump. My dad's just went too. LR assistance came out and fitted a new one for him, cost him about £400, I took mine to a dealer and it was £425 total. Discovery 4 HSE
