Strange plastic fastener

When I got into the ffrr to come home from work today, a small plastic screw from inside driver's door opening (slanted part by the windscreen) fell into my hand. Shocked When I tried fitting it back into its hole, there was no resistance and it came straight out again. Big Cry

What is this?
How do I get it back in there so it can continue to do whatever it is supposed to be doing?

Any help/advice is much appreciated.

There should be an inner and an outer to that fixing... Sounds to me you only have the inner and o outer... Time for a new one, as it probably came out as you closed the door and the other half smashed?
