I was previously looking to buy an 07 tdv8. However I've had a budget cap imposed on me. So my attention has now shifted onto late td6 cars.

That gives advertised rate. Would rather know what people who have sold recently have achieved. Current cars:

I wouldn't buy any that are in the higher tax band which will likely be all 06 ones.

Afraid saving up more money isn't an option as the extra money has been taken away and is in a new house fund. So anything else saved goes to that.

As an ex Touareg owner (57 plate 3.0TDI Altitude) I have to say they are a very well put together car..... but they don't feel special like a Rangie. I'll be buying another 4x4 this summer and I wouldn't dream of buying a VW again.

I saw yesterday that there is an Lpg converted FFRR 4.2SC for sale in the classifieds at the moment within budget.

Must admit I find the Range Rover used market very unusual and I can see why newcomers to the scene can need a little advice. Like most on here I'm not new to buying cars but I don't think I've ever seen such wild variations in pricing... as an example.....
