With the vents deleted i think it looks much better now just the side flares need deleting and the front wing part as well.

Well after 3 weeks and 1500 miles, I can only confirm that significant numbers of people comment on how good the car looks, love the 22 inch wheels (that are now unavailable due to excessive demand), and 4 friends who own previous gen owners went out and ordered a car immediately after seeing it. The car will be a huge success, as more are seen around, it will become the norm and less of a shock.

Some , clearly many on here do not like it, and the new Sport will further distance some owners, but it is a fantastic vehicle, and will be a great and well deserved success for LandRover.

Nice to hear that you are happy with it and glad to hear so many are being bought. That means that by the time I can afford a second hand one, there are plenty available

Please keep us posted on how it goes, reliability, niggles, fuel consumption etc.

Maybe you can ask Martin to update the car avatar so you can put yours in there as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Fudge or not my point is the doors look too long without the Gills....

honestly i would even prefer the vents in chrome (on the car) All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

It's a fudge, nothing more. As pointless as a design "feature" as the fake vent on the trailing edge of the bonnet.

Have to say, feels very much quicker, almost indecently swift for such a big car. Not that it was slow before. Also sounds like a V8, dare I say petrol like. Not driven the SDV6, and with 200 kg less and still 600 NM of torque, I can understand why for some (eventually many ?) it will be the choice. Personally, for me, I like the way a V8 drives, and in a FF it just seems the right engine for the car. Handling is seriously good too, a big improvement when pushing on, though in reality, it is still a "stately" vehicle, so will not normally be driven hard enough to find limits. 5,500 miles in my new Westminster. Variety of driving conditions. 33 mpg to date.

Land Rover's user interface stuff is pretty poor - newer iDrive for example is miles ahead. Voice control in the old one is pretty useless too in my experience.
