That was the first time I've seen the L405 and genuinely wanted to place an order.

Liked the white and the wheels and with privacy glass those awful rear pillars (or the impossibly small rear side window) is hidden. It looked bloody lovely! Si. <This is my name.

Yes! That was great to see!

Impressive though the L405 was, I was blown away by that drone. Eerily reminiscent of Duel. Si. <This is my name.

You can take the water over the bonnet in the 322 as well, but the errors would show up the same as on there though two are just silly ones you'd expect for such terrain.

Ie, below 4's warning
Low tyre pressure warning

The others are no doubt from all the connections being jiggled loose from the terrain and water ingress.

I would have liked to have seen it try the same terrain as the skynet machine Smile

The steep hill was a close one as you could see it was just about making it but guess the electronics helped a little with that. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

wasn't much of a review though was it ?

Did i miss something ?
Don't think he said what engine size or spec he was driving & apparantly it has an all new 8 speed auto box ? I thought it was the same as the old model 8 speed ?

Hammond had to mention the massive increase in fuel economy - I wouldn't say it was that much better, apart from the V6 for obvious reasons.

Not trying to put it down, but I wish their reviews were a bit more in depth & correct Rolling Eyes

But, it made me want one of those trucks Razz (no I'm not calling the RR a truck, I want the 6 wheel driver Thumbs Up )

Was Supercharged. Top Gear is just light entertainment, the cars are an incidental - the printed comic version is pretty much the same.

Will watch it this evening. Thumbs Up

I had the chance to try the 3 engines in the L405, back to back, and this is an impressive machine, certainly outperforming the L322 in many ways...

BUT I still prefer my TDV8 L322 as it is the Range Rover just as much as the classic is.

The L405 is a superb machine, drives better than the L322, corners much better, BUT I like my Rangy to feel like a boat, the 405 (with the dynamic, so TDV8 and S/C) can be driven just like a top end salon, cornering flat on runabout, even with a heavy foot !

However, the rear passengers get plenty more legroom, that is a fact... But I drive my Rangy, i don't get chauffered.

I think (well hope) my next Rangy will be a late 2012 Autobio, 4.4 TDV8 in a couple of years. Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Just watched the show.... On the whole, drivel. Stupid L405 test, what did it actually prove? He drove it like a tit, bouncing it off rocks etc.
I watch every episode, always have, but I feel I am watching it now because it's top gear and i have to... But I am not enjoying the stupidness now, it's not even clever.
I have watched the last 2 new episodes of 5th gear.. They were brilliant. Plato in the new pagani, great show. Previously..

Why do people treat Top Gear as a serious car review program?

It a meant to be a humorous car (themed) show and the reports are purposely set up to be funny and are not meant to be 100% factual.

I love it but plenty of other stuff on TV for those that don't like the format.... Whistle

Clarksons comment that the front of the L405 was too blingy was, I thought, spot on. Si. <This is my name.
