I like Halfords tools as they come with a lifetime warranty.

If you break any of their Advanced range you take it back (even if you've not got the receipt) and they'll have you a replacement without asking questions free of charge. Ideal for torx bits etc.

Only thing it doesn't cover is the mechanism in ratchets but they're only about £6 anyway.

Ive just been and picked up 2 sets. I really wanted the 170 piece set but couldn't justify the extra £45

Just watch there is 2 sets both 150 piece for £79.99. The ones I bought have ratchet spanners and seams a better set

I have a halfords tool case, have had it for years, came with pretty much everything you could need. Got it for 80 notes.

It is good quality and had lasted years of building site abuse. Unfortunately they have stopped doing it as a set as my case has started to fall to bits, 7 y.o. And used daily, rolson do a similar set for about 120 notes. Anyone had rolson tools? If they are rubbish i may just get it for the case..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

My Halfords case fell apart after 20years.
Went to Halfords to ask if I could buy a new case, was advised not available to purchase.
Instead they ordered me a larger replacement case and gave it to me free of charge.
Had to fill the spaces with additional bits.
Might be worth asking locally.

I wonder who makes them for Halfords? I have a set and the ratchets look suspiciously like Snap-On

Gone back up to £200 now - that's the set I have - bought it when it was on offer once before.

The tools are great, but the hinge on my box broke within weeks. Having read the above, I might go and ask them about a new box

iirc, i believe facom were making the halfords tools.

Very good tools, for the price but imho not as strong as snap-on. easily on par with (or slightly better then there newer stuff) brittool.
