I like this one.
Nail and head come to mind

'wow, am disappointed on the comment from Derek Kreindler,” making owners of the current vehicle look like pathetic try-hards saddled with an out-of-fashion luxury vehicle” dude have you ever owned a range rover?? and why would you think that the new model makes my 2011 vogue look pathetic and out of style??? regardless of depreciation buying a range rover is not just for anyone, I mean if you can’t afford one then don’t dare, derek you must really envy one or just can’t afford one, then comparing european cars to american is just wrong, what suv does america have to compare range rover to?? what? jeep, ford, hammer etc, seriously???? i mean america can build planes, houses, sky scrappers and anything big but america sucks ass in cars period, am patriotic but I will never drive american unless its teaching my 16yr old how to drive a Censored car then later I can buy him a range, and yes sir, I own a range rover and its a 2011 model and I bet you it will still look stylish in 5yrs compared to any american SUV'

I love Rover depreciation! It allowed me to get my lovely $100000 Range Rover for a tiny, tiny fraction of its original price. Thumbs Up While I paid less than I would have for most 'regular' new cars, I have a hugely capable luxury motor that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Further, after being bitten by the off roading bug, I picked up a Disco 1 at a ridiculously low price. Very Happy

No new car is a sensible investment. Prices always drop. The more expensive a car is new, the quicker the owner will want to upgrade and the faster the price plummets. Range Rover drivers aren't crazy, new car buyers are.

Before I bought a FFRR for the first time recently, I would have agreed with this article in that you would certainly expect the arrival of a new FFRR to depress prices of the old one. But this is not actually what I found as a lot of FFRRs, at least 4.4TDV8s, were sold before Xmas by dealers because I saw them disappear from the websites. I think what might save L332 prices in the future is L-Rs ambitious pricing strategy for the new FFRR which is positively stratospheric. I think there will be a few wannabee FFRR owners who decide that the new FFRR is a step too far moneywise and go for a late model L322. Of course, the new RRS may adversely affect L322 prices depending on whether L-R have improved the cramped cabin or not

Good point about the new RRS. It seems to be more than a 5 seat Disco this time Mr. Green

The older the L332 is, the less of a depreciation hit the new model will give it.

Complete idiots, just envious!

However just wondering if they might have a point? Might wait a couple of months and pick up a TDV8. When do deliveries of the L405 start in volume? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

going by the stealers, the factory must be at max output, so I would have though we'll be seeing lots more on the road this September as they wait & are delivered for the new reg.
