Hi, Very raw Newbie here..

I am both new to range rovers and new to the forum which to be honest I didn't I'd need quite so quickly! Less than a month of ownership. Lovely car when working, need I go on??

I have a 2003 4.4 L322 Vogue, a week ago it started and stopped immediately giving a cam sensor fault. Got recovered, replaced the sensor still wouldn't start. Had the three requirements, spark fuel and compression but no go. It does have a LPG conversion.

So, off to an independent LR garage and they have just told me they're stumped too...when they turn over there is no power to the pump yet when they jump the pump it works fine. No codes and all fuses and relays are OK and the T4 says everything fine. Mechanic stepped away today to halt his suicidal tendencies I believe..If we're all at a loss, can anyone here help before both I and my mechanic do something silly?

me thinks the lpg conversion might be telling the petrol fuel pump to be off....can you disconnect the lpg and see what happens.. ... - .- -.

I'd say the same as stan, remove the lpg main fuse. The fault will be with the lpg ecu/emulator. 5.0 supercharged autobiography

Forgive my ignorance, but my understanding was that LPG only isolated the injectors, not the fuel pump. Am I right in this assumption?

I'm going to phone the garage and ask them to isolate the LPG and see what happens, after a week I'd try anything to be honest before I get to the rag in filler neck!!!

i cant see the petrol fuel running when you are on lpg, it will just burn out... ... - .- -.

My car has not started for 3 weeks as of today. It has been with an indey for 10 days and they are still none the wiser. Not their fault as there are no fault codes to go by. This is the latest update.

Power to the fuel pump when key at position 2, no power when turned to starter position but the engine turns. The pump is ok when powered up by a battery, but again, when that power is taken off it all reverts to above. Everyone is now really scratching their heads. The T4 software outfit don't have a clue and they have been on to LR at Gaydon with similar response. They are now stripping the electrical system down I believe. If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful. Not a good experience from a 4 week ownership perspective but love the car when it was running...

is ur indy any good with lpg?

If everything works till the ignition starts id be saying lpg causing a issue

Have you tried forcing it to start on LPG? This will help indicate if its a fuel pump problem. Can't help you with how to start on LPG, depends on the LPG kit, either refer to instructions, or google for answer. Good luck!  2012 SDV8 Vogue SE

How experienced is your indy on FFRR's rather than old Landrovers ?

I'd be inclined to talk to JE Engineering in Coventry and see if they'll look at it.

What Indy have you taken it to?? MRM in Coventry are good with landys, and a good price?

To start on LPG with my system I have to press and hold the LPG switch over button then turn the key. Not the best but might get it going. Also could you not disconnect the LPG ECU and re connect to the cars normal ecu? They are usually piggy back ecu's if you understand what I mean.

If something can't be fixed with a hammer....... You have yourself an electrical fault!

so has the lpg system been disconnected like my suggestion in the second post.. ... - .- -.

Have you Contacted a lawyer? I would. I would be parking the car back at the garage and asking for my money back. Previously..

Stan, the fuel pumps always run (the same as if running on petrol) which is why so many problems arise from running an LPG car with very low petrol levels for a long distance...
