Well fair play to him for being honnest. Not sure about the 2006 onwards bit, but i know you have to use a valve lube on the later engines.

Why did you buy a petrol FFRR? Probably with view or idea to get converted. The petrol has a lot of plus sides and some are the performance over diesels, quietness etc. so when your doing your working out as to whether or not its a viable option think about working out costs compared to running a diesel. Everything he said is true. however on LPG (currently at 70ppl chez moi) my cost per mile is 25p, same as my TD6. less than 25% less efficient than petrol but nearly half the price. the maths speaks for itself.

I did some digging on this very subject some time ago relating to LPG conversions on AJV8 (n/a) engines. I spoke with JE Engineering who told me the same regarding the valves.

I'm sure they encountered some issues, but as above, find me an SC with valve problems caused by LPG. And somebody needs to tell all the converted L322s, sports and xjr's which are running without any issues.

prinz have a great page where they have a calculator showing you how much you save on gas per year based on your mileage your mpg and current fuel costs
